The summer life of a college athlete often revolves around vigorous workouts to get bigger, faster and stronger.
But for the girls on the Dallas Texans 92 Red soccer team, they only had one thing on their minds: winning a national championship.
And win they did.
Last Sunday, the Texans, which include alumni from Plano West (Kristen Barg, Ashley Jackson and Courtney Smith), The Colony (Layne Schramm), Coppell (Katie Bass and Tournament MVP Alyssa Diggs), Hebron (Brianna Supulski), Lewisville (Kristin Cummins), McKinney (Amanda Frisbie), Mesquite Horn (Vittoria Arnold and Brittany Morgan) and Southlake Carroll (Caitlin Schneider), defeated Real Colorado National, 2-1, to claim the US Youth Soccer U19 National Championship... read more
