Manchester United are reported to be keeping tabs on Venezuelan prospect Roberto Carlos Brito Guyanese Rojas.

Known as Roberto Junior, the 18-year-old forward has just finalised a move to American junior side Dallas Texans - who are an official feeder club for United.

The Texans and United have a link-up through their academy set-up and reports in Venezuela claim United scouts helped spot Roberto.

He has now signed a deal with Dallas, but has already being tipped to link up with United in the future.

Every summer a delegation from Dallas travel to England for a training camp, whilst United also keep in regular touch with the Texans' coaching staff.

Dallas Texans keeper selects UC Riverside

 

Ashkan Khosravi, a Class of 2012 goalkeeper, confirmed Monday that he has committed to UC Riverside. Khosravi hails from Iran, but currently resides in Texas. He shares starts with the Dallas Texans under-17/18 team in the U.S. Soccer Development Academy. Khosravi attends Plano West (Plano, Texas). He is the second confirmed commitment to UC Riverside, joining California native Jacob Arrieta.

Anasi, a native of Arlington, Texas, plays midfield/forward. Her intended major is biology and pre-med, and she has ambitions of becoming a pediatrician.

Dallas Texans Featured Alumni: José Burciaga Jr

José Burciaga Jr was born November 16, 1982 in Oak Cliff, Texas. Burciaga, a left back, starred for his team, the '81 the Dallas Texans Red, under coaches Hassan Nazari and Said Bagvardani as well as Duncanville High School where he was the 2000 District 7 soccer MVP and two-time All State. Burciaga was a mainstay in the United States youth national teams, making 37 appearances for the US U-20 team and 5 appearances for the US U-23's.

OF ALL the foreign tastes acquired by A-League clubs in recent times, Hirofumi Moriyasu stakes a legitimate claim to be the most exotic of the lot.

Born in Kagawa, a prefecture on the northern tip of Japan's Shikoku Island, Moriyasu moved to the United States at age one, to Texas no less, where he spent the next five years. Dallas Texans U-18 Academy Earns 3rd Place at Academy Finals and Completes Undefeated Season

Congratulations to our U-16 and U-18 Academy teams for capping a successful year with a strong showing at the 2011 Development Academy Finals week in Milwaukee, WI. The Dallas Texans U-18 Academy completed a remarkable undefeated season, the first in the history of the Academy, and finished in third place at Finals Week by scoring a dramatic stoppage time goal and defeating CASL Chelsea FC Academy in a penalty shootout. The late comeback ended the U-18 Texans season with a 16-0-13 overall record. Dallas Texans Player Selected for 2011 MUSS World Skills Final

“Following the recent series of programs delivered by Manchester United Soccer Schools in Tulsa, Dallas, Houston and Austin, Cody Spitzer (aged 12, from Dallas) has been selected to represent the Texans at the 2011 MUSS World Skills Final in Manchester. He will receive an all-expenses paid trip to Manchester to compete against players from all over the world in this year’s event, and will spend an exciting few days as a guest of the current Premiership champions. Dallas Texans Capture 3 Regional Titles!

Congratulations to our '97 Boys, '92 Boys and '92 Girls teams for winning the Region III Championships this past week in Murfreesboro Tennessee. The '97 Boys stormed through the U-14 bracket, posting an impressive 15-2 goal differential and winning all six of their games. The '92 Boys and '92 Girls ran through their U-19 age brackets with all wins as well. These three teams will be joined at the USYSA National Championships next month by our '94 Boys and '95 Girls teams, who qualified through by winning the National League.

Dallas Texans U-18 and U-16 Teams Both Qualify for the U.S. Soccer Development Academy Finals!

Congratulations to both of our U.S. Soccer Development Academy teams for progressing through the Academy Playoffs and earning a chance to play for the Academy Finals Championship. The Dallas Texans are one of two clubs to send both of their Academy teams to the Finals. Both teams finished with atop their group with 7 points, following two wins and a draw, respectively. Manchester United Academy Coach Neil Ryan to Visit the Dallas Texans

In a few days time, the Dallas Texans will benefit from the incredible opportunity to learn from Neil Ryan, one of the top coaches in Manchester United's Academy. Ryan, who will be in Dallas from June 26th - July 1st, will spend his time here holding training sessions for our players, as well as giving seminars to our coaches and parents. Neil Ryan played professionally in England and the United States, before joining the Manchester United Academy as a coach. U18 Dallas Texans are the first team to ever finish entire season undefeated

Congratulations to both of our Dallas Texans teams who qualified for the U.S. Soccer Development Academy Playoffs by finishing in the top 2 in the Texas division. The U16 team finished the season on a 4-game win streak to clinch a spot in the Playoffs, while the U18's made history by becoming the first team to ever go through an entire Academy season without losing a game. Dallas Texans Clinch Both U19 State Titles!

Congratulations to our U19 boys and girls teams who won the North Texas State Cup this weekend and punched their tickets to Regionals. These teams join our U11, U14, U15, and U18 boys teams and our U12, U17, and U18 girls teams as 2011 North Texas State Cup Champions. Our U17 boys were finalists, while the U16 and U14 girls made it all the way to the semi-finals.
